Lasermet is proud to introduce the Passive ALF Interlocked Laser Welding Helmet, an advanced laser safety helmet specifically designed for hand-held laser welding applications. Combining certified passive laser protection with intelligent interlock functionality, the Passive ALF helps ensure that operators are protected before laser processing begins.
Unlike conventional welding helmets, the Passive ALF is designed to integrate directly with Lasermet's Laser Safety Interlock® Systems. The laser cannot be armed until the helmet is correctly worn and the visor is fully closed, encouraging safe working practices and reducing the risk of accidental laser exposure.
Intelligent Interlocked Protection
The Passive ALF has been developed with operator safety as its primary objective. By requiring the helmet to be worn correctly before laser activation is permitted, the system helps ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is always in place before any laser welding operation commences.
In the event of direct laser exposure or high-intensity reflected laser radiation, the helmet's passive laser filter reduces the transmitted laser energy to safe levels, helping to protect the wearer's eyes and face during Class 4 laser welding operations.
